My friend jess is making twilight t-shirts with her yudu and wants to sell them online is that legal?

She wanted to make the t-shirts for twilight and other books movies she likes and then sell them but i wasn't sure she should if it wasn't legal I've seen other people make and sell them but i just want to make sure. Does anyone know?
